- The Assistant President of the University of Technology for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdel-Dahd, visited the Department of Computer Science today, Sunday, 7/25/2021, to see the progress of the final exams for the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021. He was received by the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, and the administrative assistant, Dr. Bashar Saadoun. Mahdi .

-Today, Sunday 7/25/2021, the final exams for the second semester of the year 2020-2021 were launched in the classrooms in the Department of Computer Science and under the direct supervision of the head of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan. Taking all precautionary measures to prevent the emerging corona virus and adhering to the decisions of the Health and Safety Committee related to social distancing and wearing masks in order to preserve public safety Where the head of the department confirmed that the exams are taking place according to what was planned, praising the role of the distinguished examination committees in organizing the exams. The head of the department also stressed the need to adhere to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Technology for exams in order to succeed in exams.

- The Department of Computer Science discussed the doctoral thesis tagged "A mobile application for diagnosing human eye diseases for telemedicine service" by doctoral student Shorouq Hamid Rashid, Thursday 06/24/2021 in the discussion room in the building of the Department of Computer Science. The aim of the thesis is to diagnose external eye diseases from a distance. The thesis discussed how to distinguish the patterns and accuracy required in this process and the way in which the telemedicine service is delivered. The most important findings of the researcher are that the combination of mobile technologies, wireless communications and cloud computing is necessary and useful in providing remote health services, especially in light of the current conditions of the Corona pandemic.
