-The Education and Health Guidance Unit in the Department of Computer Science held a meeting with students of the Software and Multimedia Branches in the department today, Tuesday 9/11/2021, in the discussion room in the building of the Department of Computer Science, as part of a series of meetings that were held with other branches and in the presence of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, scientific assistant Dr. Noha Jamil Ibrahim, administrative assistant Dr. Bashar Saadoun, head of the software branch, Dr. Azra Jassem, head of the multimedia branch, Dr. Asia Salman, director of the Educational Guidance Unit, Dr. Muhammad Ghani, department rapporteur, assistant teacher Ahmed Hamed, and members of the Educational Guidance Committee in both branches. In the beginning, the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, welcomed the students and wished them a successful academic year. During the meeting, the following themes were emphasized:

  • Adherence to health and safety laws and the necessity of taking vaccinations.
  • Emphasis on adherence to the Student Discipline Law
  • Students interacting with each other in the university
  • Modest dress on campus
  • Electronic and in-person lectures and communication with the subject professor
  • Encouraging the establishment of student and sports activities
  • Organizing field visits to the university library
  • Join the online classes
  • - Adhere to the schedule of in-person and electronic lectures and follow up the schedule on a weekly basis
  • Preparing for the expected exams to be held this year

-Master's thesis in the Department of Computer Science discussing "Improving classification based on prospecting patient opinion in drug reviews" The Department of Computer Science discussed the Master's thesis tagged with "Improving classification based on the exploration of patient opinion in drug reviews" for the student (Dina Rahim Nehme), master's degree in computer science / artificial intelligence, in the discussion room in the building of the Department of Computer Science, Monday 8/11/2021. The goal of the message is to create a system that analyzes patients’ opinions (positive, negative, neutral) to benefit pharmaceutical companies, doctors and pharmacists to follow up on newly manufactured medicines and to benefit patients to know the appropriate medicines for their health condition. As for the conclusions reached by the message, which used four algorithms (two algorithms for each scenario), the first algorithm is a support vector machine and the second algorithm is logistic regrssion. The second algorithm was better than the first, where the accuracy of the first was 74% and the second was 88%. The discussion committee consisted of:

-The teacher, Dr. Maysa Abdel Ali, participated in a scientific symposium and received thanks and appreciation for her attendance and participation in the activities of the scientific symposium held by the Iraqi Al-Khwarizmi Scientific Society entitled “Mathematics and its Role in Medical, Economic and Industrial Sciences” and in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Holy Karbala and the Imam Hussein (peace be upon) Charity Center for Development And education and the school activity halls and the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) center, wishing them continued success and success.

-Professor Dr. Alaa kadhom Farhan from the Department of Computer Science received two letters of thanks and appreciation from the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, due to his efforts to publish a solid scientific research within the first Clarivant’s containers for his research tagged “Linear Confusion for Block Cryptography based on a five-factor hybrid system” Dimension” and the second for his research tagged “Generating Effective Dynamic Spock Using Transformation of Linear Trigonometry for Secret Applications”, I hope that he will do more to serve our university and our beloved Iraq.
