- Under the supervision of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, a volunteer campaign was organized to plant seedlings and roses in the gardens of the Computer Science Department, with the participation of the teaching assistant, Dr. Suhair Muhammad Zaki, and a number of students from the Information Systems Branch, third stage. This campaign comes to introduce the environmental importance of plant cultivation as part of a series of volunteer work held in the department and aims to encourage the spirit of volunteer work among our dear students.

- The Computer Science Department discussed the tagged master's thesis Conceal Secret Data Into Medical image By Using Chaotic Map For the student (Abbas Zamil Hussein), Computer Science/General. On Tuesday, 11/28/2023, in the discussion room in the Computer Science Department building. The thesis aims to propose a multi-stage encryption system to ensure greater confidentiality of medical images. The level of confidentiality can be increased by using multiple chaotic maps. In this thesis, chaos was studied in great detail, including: This is its impact on secure communications and suggested a method of hiding information based on chaotic maps. - The Department of Computer Science discussed the PhD thesis titled 'Object detection and encryption of video in cloud using deep learning or DNA coding' by the student (Asmaa Hassan Mohsen) in Computer Science / General, on Monday, 2023/11/27, in the discussion hall of the Computer Science Department building. The thesis aims to detect the object in the video and encrypt it using DNA encoding. This thesis discusses computer vision to employ deep learning to extract the largest number of features. - The Computer Science department's football team defeated the Production and Metals Engineering department's team (6-4) in favor of the Computer Science team in the third match of the group qualifiers in the Technological University President's football championship, which took place at the university field yesterday, Sunday, 2023/11/26. The goals were scored by Mustafa Ali (five goals) and Mustafa Sabah (one goal). Congratulations to the champions of the Computer Science department.
