- The student (Yasser Diaa Hussein) received his master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for his thesis (Texting Communication Application Based on Hand Gesture). In relation to the study presented, we offer a new approach to represent the English alphabet as gestures using six Patterns. The hash pattern is applied by using the Histogram equation for the grayscale image. The classification process was performed via Euclidean distance function as well as linear discrimination analysis in Fisher (FLDA). Difficulties, including recognition of similar gestures, seem to be fully managed with the proposed technology, as the background is fixed in white. That's why you get an 85% discrimination rate because lighting may be different from one place to another, as well as camera resolution, which is very important in distinguishing features. This was on Thursday, 11/4/2019, and at the discussion room in the annex building of the department. The discussion committee was composed of: Dr. Yusra Hussein Ali and Dr. Esraa' Tahseen Ali from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department And Dr. Abdul Wahab Sami Ibrahim from Al Mustansiriya University / College of Education / Department of Computer Science in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Hanaa Mohsen Ahmed).

- The student Sanaa' Shehab Ahmed obtained her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (A Proposed Depth Image Extraction Approach for 3D Video Object Tracking). This thesis focuses on the proposed method of mapping the depth or contrast map of the stereoscopic and 3D (CLAHE) with the total cost of the absolute difference (SAD) .CLAHE improves the contrast intensity of the left and right images after converting from RGB color image to grayscale image based on AHE and using the CL value.Cut the histogram of each region and redistribute the pixel value. It was on Sunday 7/4/2019 and at the discussion room in the annex building of the department. The discussion committee was composed of: Dr. Shaima Hamid Shaker and Dr. Ekbas Ezzeddine Ali from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department and Dr. Enas Mohammed Hussain from Al Mustansiriya University / College of Education / Department of Computer Science in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Hassanein Samir Abdullah).
