The students football team wins
The computer science students team won an overwhelming victory over the team of students of the Department of Medical Engineering with seven goals for our team and one goal for the team of medical engineering on Sunday 19-11-2017 and on the stadiums of the University of Technology in the games conducted by the university to win the Cup of the President of the University.

The Department held a workshop for students to solve the problems of installing Oracle on modern systems
The Laboratory Division of the Department of Computer Sciences held a workshop on Thursday, 23-11-2017 for students of the third and fourth levels of the software and information systems branches and the network management branch who study the databases in both practical and theoretical subjects. The workshop titled "How to install oracle 10g on windows 10" presented three solutions to the problem of installing and running Oracle 10g Developer on modern browsers in Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating systems. The workshop aimed to enhance the cooperation among students and spread the information they received during the workshop, which they participated in effectively.
The workshop was conducted under the direct supervision of the laboratory director. Wissam Ali Mahmoud. This workshop was prepared and presented by Lect. Asst. Nada Najil Kamal - Head of the Oracle Laboratory. During the workshop, a guidebook for students was prepared by participants. Lect. Asst. Nour Haidar Abdul-Amir - Director of Documentation and Alumni Division, Computer Science Department, Lect. Asst. Mohammed Sabah Rashid from the Information Technology Center. During the workshop, the software was distributed to the students as well as an introductory video of all the steps that were presented during the workshop. The workshop participants are:

The Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the University of Technology and in cooperation with Zain Iraq Telecom held a workshop entitled "Adaptation to the Work Environment" on Wednesday 15/11/2017 at the hall of Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology called for graduates in all departments to attend this workshop in order to To qualify them for work and benefit from the offers that will be provided by Zain Iraq to the graduates of our university.

Dr. Maha Abdel Karim Hamoud, Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Division of the Department, presented a seminar on "The compatibility between the outputs of students according to ABET reliability and indicators of academic program outputs" on Monday, 13/11/2017. as a requirements for participation in the Conference on Quality Assurance in Education, to be held in Egypt.

Introductory and welcoming seminar for the first level students
In the presence of the Head of Computer Sciences Department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab, the Scientific Assistant Dr. Alia Karim, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Ayad Roudhan, the Department's Coordinator Lect. Yasser Munther and the heads of branches. The Department of Computer Science held a seminar on Sunday 12/11/2017 on the discussion hall in the department to welcome the students of the first stage of all branches where the following topics were discussed:

Workshop on Project Management (PMP)
The training, recruitment and follow-up department at the University of Technology and in cooperation with Zain Iraq Telecom held a workshop entitled "Project Management" (PMP) on Thursday 2/11/2017 and at the Machinery and Equipment Engineering Hall at the University of Technology, where four graduates from each department attended the workshop. A discussion on the security of e-government and its role in the service of society
By the supervision of the president of the university of technology Dr. Amine Douai Thamer, with the presence of Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab Head of Computer Sciences Department on (Tuesday, May 2, 2017) held a lecture entitled "E-Government Security and its Role in the Service of the Society" at Dr. Emad Kadhum Hall. presented by Dr. Hassanein Sameer, Dr. Alaa Kadhum, Dr. Abeer Tarek and Lect. Enas Tariq. The seminar was attended by a large number of professors and researchers.
- Introducing the department's employees to the basic concepts, types and infrastructure of e-government and it's benifits to society.
- Review all types of attacks that may be exposed to e-government service sites.
- Review of the citizen e-Government Model in Iraq.
In conclusion, the lecture explained that it is necessary to educate citizens about the concept of e-government and its future importance in serving the community and the possibility of developing methods and techniques used in the protection of e-government.

The Educational and Health Guidance Unit in the departments held a seminar on Sunday 2/4/2017 at 12 PM at the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kadhum. In the presence of the Head of Department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and Dr. Abdul Mohsen Jaber Abdul-Hussein Head of Educational Guidance Unit in the Department and the Registrar of the Department Lect. Yasser Munther and the branches heads, the seminar discussed the following topics:

A seminar on language and computer
Department of Computer Sciences concluded the cultural season with a discussion seminar titled "Language and Computer" on the late Dr. Emad Kadhum Hal on Wednesday March 8 2017 by Asst. Lect. Nada Najeel, the seminar aim was to raise awareness of the importance of following the correct rules of the Arabic language and punctuations and came up with recommendations including: providing free annual sessions provided by specialists in the Arabic language through which existing staff guidance on printing legal letters, the lecture demonstrated the most common mistakes in the official letters and the media, also the correct methods to be followed out the texts of linguistic properly addressed. the seminar has been appreciated by the audience, who enriched the seminar with questions.
