With the blessing of God Almighty and under the direct supervision of the Department Head, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, the doctoral students in the Department of Computer Science took today, Sunday, 10/15/2023, the written comprehensive exam for the successful doctoral students from the first round. The exam was held in the graduate studies hall in the presence of the scientific assistant. Professor Dr. Abeer Tariq Mouloud and Director of the Graduate Studies Division, Rasha Ismail.

Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science, held a specialized symposium on controversy theories in artificial intelligence. In the presence of Representative Muhammad Rasoul from the Defense and Security Committee in the House of Representatives, the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, representatives of the National Security Advisory, a representative of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the presence of specialists from most state ministries. The department’s speech was given by the head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, and the symposium lecture was given by the professor of artificial intelligence in the department, Professor Dr. Ahmed Tariq Sadiq. The Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, held a meeting with the Laboratory Division on Wednesday, 10/11/2023, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Abeer Tariq Mawlood, the Director of the Laboratory Division, Assistant Lecturer Atheer Rahim, and laboratory officials. The meeting addressed many topics, including regular maintenance of computers and the necessity of working in a team spirit within Laboratories, following up on laboratory coding, and adhering to lecture times and curriculum. In conclusion, the head of the department praised the efforts made by the laboratory staff.

Under direct guidance by the Department Head The students of the Computer Science Department, Information Systems Branch/Third Stage, Sabahi, under the supervision of the teaching assistant, Dr. Suhair Muhammad Zaki, visited the department’s library to learn about its books and their contents, including theses and dissertations, and to urge the students on the necessity of communicating with the books and the library.
