It's a dangerous scourge threatening society, affecting not only individuals but also institutions, varying from country to country. The awareness level and the legislator's role in curbing this crime were highlighted, emphasizing that increased penalties reduce crimes. The workshop stressed the role of departments and institutions in protecting their documents and records through the use of barcodes and QR codes. The workshop clarified that forgery fundamentally involves causing harm with malicious intent. The harm can be general, affecting state institutions, or specific, impacting individuals. It covered forgery methods, including hiding information, forging stamps or signatures, or omitting parts of information. Punishments for forging official state documents include imprisonment for up to fifteen years, while forgery of private documents can lead to imprisonment ranging from 3 to 7 years. However, forgers are not punished if they do not use the forged documents or report them to security authorities. At the end of the workshop, appreciation certificates were distributed to the lecturers in recognition of their efforts in delivering the seminar, and a commemorative photo was taken.
