The Educational and Health Guidance Unit in the Department of Computer Sciences held a seminar on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year 2018-2019 for the students of the morning study, Thursday, 19/11/2018 at the discussion room in the department and in the presence of the head of computer sciences department. Dr Hala Bahjat Abdel Wahab, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Ayad Roudhan, the Scientific Assistant Dr. Soukiena Hassan Hashem and Director of Educational Unit Dr. Abdul Mohsen Jaber Abdul-Hussein, where the following topics were discussed:

- Disavow religious and sectarian extremism and establish national identity, patriotism and belonging to it
- General behavior on campus
- Focus on placing students in internal departments and establishing values of community co-existence
- Discussion of the courses system
